Went in for food. Stood waiting be seated for 10 mins so sat down at a table when no one came. Went to grab a menu and heard a couple asking if it was table service. Server ( lady about 50-60 short hair) told them to wait there to be …
We stayed for one night whilst visiting family in the area. The bed was very comfortable and the room was okay, but didn’t have a wardrobe - only a very small hanging rail on the wall. The great thing was the number of plugs available …
The staff were all very kind and helpful. Breakfast was included in my booking and they catered to all tastes. The breakfasts could not have been better. My room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. The en-suite shower room was very clean and it was lovely to reach for a warm bath towel from the heated towel rail. I enjoyed having a kettle with tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. The large, Smart TV was also a bonus. The room was quite dark but I got used to it. It is obviously an old building.
Amazing hotel couldn't of been more accommodating and friendly staff. Food was amazing all cook fresh and you could tell. Would love to come back.||Room very comfortably and nice and clean. Tv smart one with all the amenities you would …
Stayed for two nights at the hotel. Room was clean and tidy, albeit slightly worn in places. the menu was wide ranging and the food excellent. The breakfasts were enormous and delicious. Pub is literally underneath the Forth Rail Bridge, so great ambiance, but some minor train noise as a result.
Breakfast was fantastic with great choice and lady who served us was friendly and welcoming and really made us feel at home.
On the Thursday evening, we had a lovely meal. Our son is six years old and never left his seat the entire meal. After our meal, we moved into the bar to order coffee. Before we took our table, our son had a look around the corner to see what was there as there are lots of sections to the bar/restaurant area. As he was just standing and looking, the bar maid with brown hair snapped at us and in a very loud and abrupt manner told us he couldn’t be running around the place, which he wasn’t, he was just having a look. She then went on to serve us our coffee with a very rude ‘eye roll’. This was totally uncalled for!
We went for Sunday lunch. All 3 had the 3 roast dinner priced about £21. Everyone finished their well presented and hot plates without any complaints. 2 great desserts after with an Irish coffee for the third . Again, very nice portions that tasted good. Staff were very attentive and food was good. Keep up the good work.
There is nothing to improve on. The Inn was wonderful and room 5 was out of this world. The breakfast was the best we have ever had at a hotel and was so fresh and tasty. The lady who served us and the chef were brilliant and so friendly. Definitely be booking to go back!
